“Stagiaires’ Ideas that Matter: our Impact on the World” is the title of an exciting conference organised by trainees of the European Commission.
It will take place on Wednesday 4th July 2012 at 19.30 at The Hub Brussels (Rue du Prince Royal 37) to bring together people who share the same concerns and priorities.
In the “Ideas that Matter” conference the trainees act not only as organisers, but also performers. Stagiaires and external speaker will take turns on the stage to give short presentations related to the main theme ‘Our Impact on the World’. With NGOs, administrators, youth networks and entrepreneurs being present, these fresh and innovative ideas on various range of topics will spread further. After the event, all talks will be published on the internet so as to share them with a wider audience.
“Ideas That Matter” will be hosted by The Hub Brussels, a network for social entrepreneurs that facilitates social innovation and offers sustainable working spaces to its members. The conference is inspired by the famous multidisciplinary TED events and PechaKucha 20×20 presentation format, but organised entirely independently from TED or PechaKucha. Under the motto ‘Ideas Worth Spreading’, TED events feature concise presentations (maximum 18 minutes). PechaKucha 20×20 is a simple presentation format where you show 20 slides/images, each for 20 seconds.
